FORGOT
YOUR PHONE? WHAT TO DO
With
any other phone, you can at least check your Voice Mail. You do know
the procedure for checking your Voice Mail from another phone, right?
Depending on the degree of customer service your carrier provides (some
have none), you can call your wireless carrier and ask them to
temporarily forward your calls to a number that will be convenient to you. This is
the time to take advantage of your glove box phone*, your office phone, or the phone of a
person you will be spending some time with. Then, when you are reunited with
your own phone, you can cancel Call Forwarding yourself. Store the cancel code
in your phone book so you won't need to look it up.
*You don't have a Glove Box Phone? It's cheap, it's easy and it's a life saver when you forget your regular phone.
FORGOT
YOUR BATTERY CHARGER WHILE TRAVELING? ASK YOUR HOTEL!
Cell phone chargers are the number one item left behind in hotel rooms.
Most hotels are willing to lend or give you cords and chargers from
their lost and
found. If you have the charging cable but not the charger, you can plug
that cable into a computer. Once, we plugged that cable into the USB
output to the cable box in a hotel room. Also look for desk lamps or
wall outlets with USB ports in the room. No luck? Cables, and sometimes
chargers, are available for a reasonable charge in convenience stores,
drug stores, gas stations and truck stops.
